I make work based in dialogical relationships.

Over the past 10 years I have lived in 10 cities or towns in 4 countries. This nomadic living has influenced my pull towards invitational arts practices. I am interested in having experiences with strangers and with members of my long and short term communities, and in making connections with and between others.

While photography and theatre have been the primary sites of my practice, I am interested in crossing borders between fields and forms, and in bringing these interactions into public spaces. My photographs have been exhibited in and out of gallery locations since 2000 and published in print and online in contexts such as Canadian Notes & Queries

I have been directing, performing and curating theatrical work since 1997. From 2001-2006 I directed a series of regionally diverse contemporary Canadian plays, and staged them in non-theatre venues including art galleries and bars. In recent years have become more interested in devised performance and live art processes. As part of the programming team at The Arches in Glasgow (2008-2009), I facilitated artist laboratories and organised forums on topics such as theatrical behaviour. I also had the occasion to work with a diverse range of international and local artists making brave new work.

I see teaching and learning as an integral aspect of my practice. I have taught and facilitated workshops in high schools and in post secondary environments, as well as for non-education based organizations.

I have made and participated in multi and inter-disciplinary work in Ontario, New Brunswick, Nunavut, Québec and Newfoundland in Canada as well as in France, Scotland, England and the Netherlands.
